Berkeley Energy Sciences Corporation (BESC) is developing novel flywheel technology for commercial- and utility-scale energy storage. 

BESC's technology has a significantly lower cost per kWh than any on-site energy storage technology currently on the market. This makes it well suited for applications such as permanent load shifting and renewables integration.
